Grand Lodge Convention for 2009 from Portland, OR.
An Adventure Waits in Portland, Oregon in 2009
The Oregon State Elks Association, sponsor PGER James W. Damon and local
Chairman
Lowell E. Hootman, extend to all Elks, their spouses and families an invitation
to attend the 145th Grand Lodge Convention being held in Portland, Oregon, from
July 5 to 9, 2009. It will be an adventure you'll want to be present for!
We will convene in the heart of the City of Roses at the downtown Portland
Hilton
Hotel and across the river at the Portland Convention Center.
Set against the backdrop of majestic Mount Hood, Portland combines a
sophisticated,
cosmopolitan atmosphere with refreshingly friendly, small-town warmth that makes
it a natural for tours of all types. Whether in groups or individually, Elks and
their families can cruise our scenic rivers, stroll through gardens and parks,
shop
tax-free in our tempting array of stores and boutiques, then wrap up the day
with
world-class dining and entertainment. Do you need any better reason to add the
145th
Grand Lodge Convention being held in Portland, Oregon, to your travel plans?
The Host Committee of the Oregon Elks has been and will be working to make the
145th
National Convention an adventure you will never forget. Twenty surrounding Elk
Lodges
in the Portland area will ensure that fun and fellowship will be had by all.
To make your time in Portland unforgettable, see the many tours available on the
Elks national website, http://www.elks.org starting November 1 under
Conventions.
Why not extend your stay with a special tour of Alaska? Go to http://americascruiseprofessionals.com/scheduled-groups.html,
see Brochure and Reservation forms for more information. Everyone who books a
cruise
before Election Day, November 4, 2008, will receive a reduced deposit of $100.00
AND a FREE Coupon Book from Holland America worth $380.00 for purchases while on
board!
See you at the convention!
