We had a good meeting to kick-of the possibility of a new
Lodge in Clayton on the 25th of February. They signed up 10 new members at the
meeting, and they were confident that they would have 65 by the end of March.
Our State Sponsor has informed me that he wants a minimum of 100 to insure the
ability of the Lodge to survive. They have a building already leased (across the
street from the only golf course) and the principal Officers already in line to
start their Lodge. Our State Association was very well represented by the
following : State President Raymond Smith and wife Betty, President Elect Rob
Golden, Vice President Robert Guillen, SDGER Cres Baca and his wife Betty, NW
DDGER John Hilliard and his wife Vicki, NE DDGER Phil Vigil and his wife, SE
DDGER Rick Callaway and his wife Tracy and myself . I hope to return soon! Pray
for Rain!

State Chairman New Lodge Development

I will host an Exploratory Meeting for a New Lodge in Clayton, NM. We will
have the meeting at 1:00 the 25th of February in Clayton. The exact location has
not yet been decided. I have invited all the District Deputies and our State
Officers. If any interested Elks wishes to attend - they are more than welcome.
We want to sign up at least 100 to start this new Lodge. Our ELK that is our key
person interested in starting this new Lodge is State Representative Brian Moore
District 67 who lives in Clayton. I will send you more details as they become
available.
