I married my wife, Denise, in 1980 and have two children, Cameron and Laura. I have lived in Roswell, New Mexico, from 1977 to 1984 and from 1994 to the present. From 1984 to 1994 I lived in Portales, New Mexico, where I became very active in the little league program there. I am a proud grandparent (PawPaw) to several grandkids; Tristan, Maryelle, Gabriel, Cameron, and Ivy. I enjoy attending baseball games, traveling with my wife, golf, and participating in Elks activities. I was born on November 13, 1958 in a U.S. Army Hospital in Orleans, France. I continued to be an Army Brat traveling around the world one and a half time before my father retired and brought the family to Las Cruces New Mexico in 1968. I graduated from Mayfield High School in 1977 and enrolled at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. I graduated from NMMI in 1979 with an associate degree in Animal Science. I continued my education at New Mexico State University in agriculture until 1982. After leaving New Mexico State I work as a ranch manager on several farms and ranches across the state. In August of 1988 I entered on duty with the U.S. Border Patrol in Uvalde, Texas. After ten years I promoted to Senior Patrol Agent and was stationed in Lordsburg, New Mexico. After a very colorful career with the Border Patrol I retired on May 29, 2010. After retirement I have been concentrating on getting my little ranch up and running where I hope to raise quality, custom beef. On July 4, 2011 I purposed to my sweetheart Suehaye Ann Marquez and we hope to be married in mid 2012. My career in Elkdom began in 2001 where immediately after initiation I became Lodge Esquire from 2001 to 2003. In April of 2003 I was elected as Lodge Exalted Ruler and held that position for seven years, 2010. Since my initiation I have chaired many Lodge Committees. At present I am chairing the Lodge Cerebral Palsy, Lodge chairman for ENF as well as Chairman for C&B Trust. I have been SW District Chairman for Elks Training from 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 Lodge years. At present I am the SW District Chairman for both Government Relations and Elks National Foundation. I am presently Chairman of the Lordsburg Board of Trustees. I was installed as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler on July 21, 2011 for the Southwest District #6040 at the 147th session of Grand Lodge held in Phoenix, Arizona by Honorable Grand Exalted Ruler David R. Carr. Quick Link (all required for reports): Email All! |
