State Convention

Infomation for ALL State Committees (From Rick Callaway, State President): I hope that by now you have had a chance to assess your committee and set a game plan in motion for this year. As I stated in our meeting following my installation, I have given our members my word that we will give them 100% effort this year, and my word is my bond. I would like to be informed of your progress throughout the year so that if I can be of any help we don't wait too long to ask. You should know by now that I have changed the format of the fall workshop and all State Chairs are required to attend and hold a round table discussion with their district chairs This will aloow the President Elect, Vice President and myself to assess the progress of the committees. Please be aware that the workshop date is on the balloon fieta weekend and motel rooms are hard to find. We have spoken to the Sleep Inn on Yale, and they have rooms available. You need to reserve them now to be sure of a room. It will be a great night to set out on the back patio of the Alququerque Lodge and watch the balloons. The date is October 2nd. Let's all have a great year and remember, let's leave no stone unturned". Right now (May 12, 2010), the rooms for the fall workshop are only $69 at the Sleep Inn.

There will be a meeting of the Trustees immediately following the fall workshop on October 2, 2010, being held at the Albuquerque Lodge. Any chairmen that have budgets should be advised of this meeting. Also, if you find that budgets need adjusting, either up or down, plan to attend and be heard.
